Lutheran Reformation Plays: Martin Luther as Sir George the Knight
This is Martin's own telling of a dangerous time in the Lutheran Reformation when there were threats upon his life. Luther's Ruler, the Elector Prince Frederick the Wise of Saxony had him "kidnapped" by his own knights. He ordered them to keep Martin in their protective custody. They disguised him as a fellow knight and held him in Wartburg Castle.
